A Living Hope

It is not hard to find despair in the world that we live in.  When we look at the news and when we see how we treat each other, it would be easy to conclude that the world is doomed.  And, left to us alone, it might just be.  Thankfully, we have the love, the mercy and the grace of God almighty.  “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance than can never perish, spoil or fade – kept in heaven for you who through faith are shielded by God’s power” (1 Peter 1: 3-5).  We have a living hope that surpasses all despair and doom in this world and that hope will never perish, spoil or fade.  We have a living hope that “is the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed” (1 Peter 1:5).  The good news is that we have a living hope that can be celebrated and shared today.  So, let’s do just that to the glory of God almighty.

With You in Christ,
